The OP07 features an extremely low input offset voltage (75uV max for the OP07E), which is achieved by making adjustments in the chip stage, and this low offset voltage generally does not require external zero calibration. It also features a low input bias current (OP07E is 4 nA) and a high open-loop gain (200 V/mV for the OP07E). The low offset voltage and high open-loop gain make it ideal for high-gain device applications.

With a wide input voltage range of 13V for the lowest soil grade, a common mode rejection ratio of 106dB (CMRR/OP07E), and high input impedance, high accuracy in phase circuit configurations can be achieved. It maintains excellent linearity and gain even at high closed loop gain. The time or temperature stability of the offset voltage and gain are also good.

The OP07's accuracy and stability at high gains eliminates the need for external zero calibration, making it an industrial device for instrumentation applications.

The OP07 offers two standard performance ratings. The OPO7E is rated for operation from 0°C to 70°C, and the OP07C is rated for operation from -40°C to +85°C. The OP07 is available in 8-pin epoxy PDIP and 8-pin SOIC packages. It is a replacement for the 725, 108A, and OP05 amplifiers; it can also replace the 741 type with zero voltage meter.
