Real-Time Voltage Monitoring
The tester displays the voltage supplied by the connected USB power source.
Measurement range:
3.5V to 7V DC
This makes it useful for checking standard 5V USB power sources and identifying excessive voltage drop.
Current Measurement
The meter can monitor the current being drawn by the connected USB device.
Measurement range:
0 to 3.0A
This can help determine whether a charger is supplying sufficient current or whether a connected device is drawing power as expected.
Check USB Chargers
Connect the tester directly to a USB charger to monitor its output while a device is connected.
Suitable for testing:
- USB Wall Chargers
- Computer USB Ports
- Power Banks
- Car USB Chargers
- USB Power Supplies
- USB Hubs
Check USB Cables
A poor-quality or damaged USB cable can cause significant voltage drop when current increases.
The USB Charger Doctor can help diagnose this problem by monitoring the voltage and current while the device is charging.
This is useful for comparing different charging cables and identifying cables that may be limiting charging performance.
Easy Plug-and-Play Operation
No external power supply or battery is required.
Simply connect:
USB Power Source → USB Meter → USB Device
The meter is powered directly from the USB connection and begins displaying measurements automatically.
Applications
Ideal for:
- USB Charger Testing
- USB Cable Testing
- Power Bank Testing
- USB Port Testing
- Charging Diagnostics
- Electronics Repair
- DIY Electronics
- USB Device Power Measurement
- Arduino Projects
- Development Board Testing
- Workshop & Laboratory Use
Important Note
This tester has a specified measurement range of:
3.5–7V DC
Therefore, it is primarily intended for conventional 5V USB applications.
It should not be used to measure higher-voltage USB-C Power Delivery (PD) outputs such as 9V, 12V, 15V or 20V unless the particular tester is specifically rated for those voltages.
The 3A rating is the measurement range, and should not automatically be interpreted as a guaranteed continuous pass-through current under all operating conditions.
This device measures USB power parameters; it does not function as an electronic load and cannot fully test a charger's maximum output capacity by itself.
