The PTA8E16 is a 16-channel PT100 temperature acquisition module designed for monitoring multiple temperature points through a single RS485 connection. It supports 2-wire and 3-wire PT100 RTD sensors and communicates using the standard Modbus RTU protocol.

With support for up to 16 PT100 temperature sensors simultaneously, the module is ideal for industrial automation, PLC systems, temperature monitoring, data acquisition, warehouses, control cabinets, and other multi-point temperature measurement applications.

The A-version supports a wide temperature measurement range of -40°C to +500°C.

16-Channel Temperature Acquisition

The PTA8E16 can simultaneously connect up to 16 PT100 temperature sensors, making it suitable for applications requiring temperature measurements at multiple locations.

The module can provide both:

RS485 Modbus RTU Communication

The PTA8E16 uses the widely adopted Modbus RTU protocol over RS485, making it suitable for industrial communication networks.

Supported functions include:

• Function 03: Read registers
• Function 06: Write single register
• Function 16: Write multiple registers

The default communication configuration is:

9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit (8N1).

By changing the RS485 device address, multiple PTA8E16 modules can operate on the same RS485 network.

DIN Rail Enclosure

The module can be used with a UM80 DIN rail enclosure for convenient installation inside electrical and industrial control cabinets.
